People don’t have to be passionate every day, just walk slowly and don’t stop.

Zhong Nanqiao, an employee of PTI, was born in Heyuan City, Guangdong Province in 1972. He was mainly responsible for the assembly, debugging and cleaning of machines before leaving the factory in PTI.

It has been nearly ten years since I joined the company in 2010. He is 48 years old this year. As an older employee of PTI, everyone likes to call him ‘Qiao Ge’.

It is such a veteran figure that he is familiar with everything in the production line, which is the place he is familiar with except home.

In an interview before, I said I wanted to know about his work. He said, “I’m just a handyman. There’s nothing to understand.”

In fact, this is not the case. During the half-day stay on the production line, I fully understood a sentence through observation and interview: “It is not simple to do every simple thing well, and it is extraordinary to do every ordinary thing well.”

He is very familiar with PTI’s production line.

Many interviews with him on the production line show that the friends came to ask him where to put that thing, how to install that aluminum plate, and how to connect this circuit … He is the SOP walking on the PTI production line.

He doesn’t talk much, but he patiently guides his friends who ask for advice. In his opinion, it’s his job to do them well.

He is busy all day, after packing the machine, he continues to be busy with the assembly and cleaning of other customers’ machines. His finishing work is always so timely, and the cleanliness of the production line also benefits from his timely finishing.

On December 17, I went to the production line for an interview and found that Qiaoge and others were much busier than usual.

He said: “The customer’s machine was shipped ahead of schedule, and the production line was very busy these two days.” I asked him, “Does this happen often?” He said: “No matter what line of work we do, we should focus on customer convenience and try our best to meet customer needs. These are all things we can cope with.” This is also the spirit of PTI: pragmatic, accurate and professional.

Ten years of persistence stems from the love of work and the satisfaction and sense of accomplishment brought to him by work.

I have always felt that it is good for people to live simply and happily. If they pursue too much and want too much, they will be very tired, but it is important to stick to their goals and learn to stick to them.

In fact, whether it is work or life, the essence is the same. If you don’t persist or last, you can’t get anywhere if you want to go for three minutes.

Persistence in these two words is the magic weapon of success. People don’t have to be passionate every day, just walk slowly and don’t stop.

Excellence can form a habit, and so can decadence.

Will you be tired of talking to your friends about your work the other day? How long does it take you to work? The friend said, “One year.” He worked in his post for a year, repeating the same work every day, and thinking on his way to work every day whether it is necessary for him to persist.

I also asked him out of my desire to know, and He said, “There will be burnout. After all, people will have emotions when they are alive, and family and work will bring us some pressure, but how to control and digest it is very important.”

As he said, everyone has emotions, but when we have these emotions, many people look for reasons from their side, not from themselves. The same is true of work. If we want to work meaningfully, why can’t we try to change ourselves?

It is easy to form a habit to live a life without fun every day. As time goes by, people don’t like to make changes.

In fact, if you do something different every day, your life will change, such as eating a restaurant you haven’t eaten, reading a book you haven’t read, meeting someone you haven’t seen … Remember, Excellence can form a habit, and so can decadence.

Trying to make some meaningful changes will make you find different fun.

At the beginning of 2000, I entered a Taiwan-funded electric survey company in Shenzhen, where I met Mr. Wang of PTI today. When PTI settled in Shenzhen, he came down to PTI production line to engage in production management at the suggestion of Mr. Wang Lizhong.

He said: “At the beginning of the company, there were only four people, and there were many things to consider and do, but it was also very training.”

Everything is difficult before it is easy. With the development of Shenzhen, house prices and various consumer prices are rising. For the long-term development of the company, we began to turn our attention to Dongguan. As a famous manufacturing city, Dongguan has a perfect industry supply chain.

So PTI moved the entire production and operation center to Dongguan at the end of March 2019. Because it is a brand-new factory, he said: Everything that has just moved to the production line must be re-organized by himself, so now he is familiar with everything in the production line. For this , he said: “Stay here for a long time and you will know.”

For some people, work is hard. But for him, working in PTI production line can find his own value.
